POINTS FOR CONSIDERATION by THE HONORABLE BANKING MOHTASIB
Bank declares the loss of my Rs 250000/- through fraud by the hackers as “ Customer’s Liability”.
ONE : I have myself helped the hackers so as to share booty with them……, then why should have I raised the alarm immediately and informed everyone concerned well in time.
TWO : I shared my data with the hackers innocently…….., I have done my PhD in networking and I had the knowledge that cyber fraud had become very common in Pakistan, so it remained a remote possibility that I ask for such a trouble.
THREE : There are weaknesses in the Bank’s security system.
In case of TWO and THREE above why did the ABL not contact Faysal Bank Multan immediately to inform them about unauthorized transaction and to stop further movement of money from Aneela Begum’s account.
In view of above it becomes legal and moral responsibility of Allied Bank Bara Tower branch Abbottabad to make up my loss.
